Marty Street didn’t learn the home improvement business from a textbook. He learned it in 1991, starting out as an installer. That hands-on beginning gave him a "boots-on-the-ground" perspective that you just can’t replicate. He spent years mastering the fine details of glass and mirrors, eventually traveling across seven states for a major manufacturer to see how the best in the business operated.
In 2008, Marty took everything he’d learned—the technical skills, the "dos and don’ts," and a passion for quality—and opened Palmetto Specialties right here in Upstate South Carolina.

A proud Lander University grad, Marty balances his education with decades of field-tested wisdom. Whether it’s a custom shower enclosure, a specialized wine room, or a custom closet, Marty knows these products inside and out. He’s been an installer, a manager, and now a business owner, meaning he understands your project from every possible angle.

Even with over three decades in the industry, Marty’s biggest achievements happen at home. He’s a husband, a father of three, and a "doting" grandfather to three.
